Do fish miss their keeper?
When mom and dad were gone on
their trip I was unhappy. Others
around our house were sad, too.
Mom's oldest cub took care of us,
but he didn't see me or Phoebe. We
hid from him. He did a great job but
it's not the same as when mom and
dad are here. Nobody knew how to
sing us our special songs. Only
mom knows how to sing these love
songs to us. Some of the fish were
even sad :-(
We were happy when they came
home. I had to show them that I
was mad, though. I gave them the
super cold shoulder. I kept this up
until they took a whole day to lay in
bed with me and feed me yams. Mom
also had to make good with the Neon
Mafia. They were the ones who
missed her a lot! They looked pale
and sad and in not too good of shape.
The other fish didn't seem too upset
about her absence, but those Neons were
unhappy. They were so full of joy to
see mom, I can't tell you just how happy!
Mom had to send them Reiki energy to
help perk them up. They totally know
mom and all come out excited when she
comes home from work or sits by
skit'o'vision. This was so dramatic that
dad gave her a new name, Neon Mama!
I'm also a little mad that mom's been
neglecting my diary since her trip. Her
excuse is that she's had to catch up at
work. Ya, right! That's why she can post
a million smart remarks to Z and Bob
on the Phoenix list. I'm not fooled for
one minute. Bad mama! She says she'll
try and be better. If she doesn't improve
she's going to find out that it will take more
than a little yam to get back in my good
graces!
Hugs from Dakota, Pixie-Bob
