House mice and our brave hunters a post from Auntie Phoenix
Hi everyone,
This is my Auntie Phoenix's response to mom's previous
post to the list that they mutually belong to. Auntie
Phoenix has Scout, a handsome boy Bengal. Scout has
lots of fun like me. Mom and Auntie Phoenix have been
friends In Real Life, IRL, for many, many years.

If I remember correctly Raven, that was 21 in one
day... it sounded like popcorn popping in the house
... hahahahahaha
I'm interested to see how Scout deals with the live
version of what he likes to bring me 100 times a day...
We have the mtn. voles up there, but I don't know if they
are going to be able to get in, they seem to dive into the
window wells, and, uh... stay there... never seen one in
the house.
In the old house and B.S. (before Scout) I had to resort
to traps, because sitting sniper style in my kitchen floor
10 feet from the dogfood bowl for 1.5 hrs. with a pellet
gun wasn't really all it was cracked up to be...
The honey and I were also wondering when someone
was going to come up with some sort of pygmy gazelle
hybrid that we can buy for our little wild kitties... I mean,
if you can buy feeder fish and mice for your reptiles....
why not? I say ANYTHING TO MAKE THE WILD KITTY
HAPPY!!! And what better? A miniature herd of gazelles
to turn loose in the house. ;-)
Speaking of brave hunters... my Scout has become quite
adept at the CRAYOLA take down... Brings them to me
over and over and over... Until the dog runs interference
and alas... that is the end of said CRAYOLA... well, 'cept for
the 483,000 shards left on the carpet.
*disclaimer- the mini-gazelle idea is not meant to offend
anyone, just in case it does/did... i know Raven IRL and
sometimes our sense of humor really isn't... to anyone but
us...
