Last night was another rowdy night. This time I think Dad
got mad because we didn't let him sleep much. Nimbus and I
jumped on him a whole bunch. Maybe it's the rain. It's been
raining here and maybe we are all getting excited. Mom didn't
even wake up when we jumped on her. I was making sweet
rolls right on her and she didn't wake up. I think that she has
been tired after work and then coming home and cooking. Dad
works hard, too, and he helps around the house. He even helps
Mom around the kitchen. Poor Dad's body was sore from the
incoming storm. This means Dad doesn't sleep as well.

I heard Mom grumbling last night that she needs to get back
to work on her music. Dad's all for it. Mom says it can be kind
of hard with work and other obligations. Dad understands.

The leaves are turning a bunch of cool colours, here :) I look
out the window and see that it looks very pretty. The Scrub
Jay bird-snacks are coming around a lot. I think that they are hiding
seeds. Mom used to feed them dog-food, but had too many
problems with Vermin. She feeds some really tasty looking
Goldfinch bird-snacks. We have Robin, Starling, Magpie, House
Finch, Sparrow, Scrub-Jay, Mourning Dove, Black-headed
Grosbeak, Junco, Chickadee, Quail, and Cedar Waxwing, bird-snacks.
We've had a Rufous Sided Towhee before. We also have Raptors,
Ravens, Crows, Geese, Ducks, and Seagulls, too, but they
don't look too much like snacks.

One time Mom saw a Bald Eagle fly right down the street.
We have a colony of Bald Eagles that winter out by the Great
Salt Lake. We have Golden Eagles, too, and lots of other birds
that pass through. We even have a Flamingo that lives out at
the Great Salt Lake named Pink Floyd. I guess he has a following
and some people want him to have some friends. Wouldn't
that be pretty funny?
